At the Lighthouse Baptist Church, we strive to be a shining light in this dark world. To spread this light to others, we have provided many outreach ministries to share the light of the gospel. In doing so, we fulfill our Savior’s challenge to all believers to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Lighthouse Baptist Church wants everyone to feel welcome to attend church!
For this reason, we have a bus ministry that picks up boys, girls, and adults who otherwise could not come. We desire to see the bus ministry grow and reach new people like never before.

Adult Sunday School
There is a class for every member of your family. The purpose of the Sunday School is not to merely teach a Bible lesson, but also to relate with people in each stage of life. We strive to equip each individual with life lessons that will farther ones life.
Our children’s ministry provides an atmosphere in which every child feels loved and valued. With our teaching geared towards the child’s age and comprehension level, we lay the foundation for having a relationship with Christ. Caring teachers help the child grow in knowledge and understanding of that relationship through Bible training and simple practice of Christian principles. Our children’s ministry serves boys and girls from age 4 through sixth grade. Lighthouse also provides children the opportunity to sing in the Little Beacon Choir and also be involved in the annual Christmas program. Our children’s ministries not only teach children about the Lord, but we also encourage them to serve the Lord in any area they are able.
The music at Lighthouse Baptist Church is exciting and vibrant. Our goal is to uplift the believer and more importantly honor our Lord and Savior. We sing traditional hymns that are pleasing to our Lord. We have choir, orchestra, and special music opportunities. Like all the ministries, we strive to please the Lord and give Him our best in all we do.
At Lighthouse Baptist Church, teenagers will find a place that believes that they are the hope of America and the world! Our church is fully committed to raising up another godly generation of Christian servants. To that end, we provide weekly Sunday school classes, youth training times, teen soul winning, and other opportunities for fun and service during these important years of development.
Our nursery classes strive to establish a loving foundation for newborns through 3 year olds to begin learning about our Lord Jesus Christ. Loving, dedicated, and trained nursery workers are eager to nurture and instruct your precious little ones “in the way that they should go”. A number and cellphone system provides parents with peace of mind, knowing they will be alerted if their child needs attention. Nursery care is provided for all church services.
Every first Saturday of the month, the LBC Nursing Home Ministry Team makes their way to Cheyenne Healthcare Center where they love and minister to the residents. Compassionate and friendly visits are made on a room-to-room basis. Prayer requests are taken, Special music is played while Psalms, and Hymns, and Spiritual Songs are sung. A relevant Bible study and message is delivered with a heart full of charity for those in attendance.
LBC has a heart for those who find themselves incarcerated at the Laramie County Jail Ladies Section. Jesus related the truth that when one tenderly visits those lonely and heartbroken souls that are incarcerated it’s as if we are visiting Him. One Wednesday evening a month, a dear lady who is a member of LBC, lays down her life for her Saviour and shares the good news that Jesus loves them and wants to save them. A timely Bible lesson is taught, prayer requests are made and taken, songs are sung and group Bible-based counseling is administered.
PHOS is the Greek word for light. And, it is our sincerest desire to not only shine God’s glorious light within the church, but also to those who are serving in our community. PHOS is made up of members, both young and old, male and female, that have a desire to “make and eternal difference” in the souls of others. The PHOS Team does custodial, maintenance, and ground works for the Lord at the LBC church facility as well as taking love-baskets to our shut-in members and community servants. This ministry meets both the social friendship needs of members as well as the spiritual needs of those who do not have a Faith Community they are joined to.
The number one goal of our leadership team at LBC is to keep everyone safe! We realize that “safety is of the Lord,” but we need to do our part in providing sharp minds and strong bodies for the work of safety at LBC. Every service, there is a safety detail assigned to monitor the grounds and parking lot as well as the interior of the building. The nursery is checked and monitored as well as the auditorium and classrooms. Nothing takes priority over this one vital issue and we are grateful for those members who sacrifice personal attendance to provide a safe and secure meeting assembly.
Jesus commands every Christian to “go out into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” As a local New Testament Church, our focus is on the eternal – specifically, souls! Our philosophy begins with a mandate for every Christian to personally “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” I Peter 3:15
In addition to an individual responsibility to propagate the gospel day-by-day, we offer weekly scheduled opportunities for members to win souls through door-to-door witnessing, bus ministry outreach, as well as nursing home and prison ministry outreach.
The ultimate goal is to win, baptized, and teach individuals who will one day win, baptize, and teach others to do the same. We believe soul winning is the life-blood of the church.
At LBC, we are acutely aware of the need to provide every opportunity for Christians to “grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.” Discipleship is our answer to providing a one-on-one occasion for Christians to be grounded in foundational doctrines and to provide a platform and informal meeting time to have their questions answered by a competent and compassionate brother or sister in Christ. LBC uses the booklet, “Seven Steps to Joy,” that offers seven one-hour studies where friendships are forged, prayer requests are made, and important principles and practices are discussed in a very relaxed, personal “at your own pace” atmosphere.
